Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the difference between OILnax and AQUAnax?
- OILnax (excluding OILnax for dishwashers) is a pH neutral detergent. While AQUAnax "peels off" oil stains, OILnax "processes oil stains by finely breaking them down".
- I'd like to clean the kitchen. Do you recommend AQUAnax or OILnax?
- We recommend using "AQUAnax" on stubborn oil stains that are stuck, for sterilising and de-odourising and in places where it's difficult to use detergent (eg. inside refrigerators). We recommend using "OILnax" for all-purpose cleaning, cleaning around food and being gentle to your hands while cleaning.
- What items should I avoid cleaning with OILnax?
- Please avoid use of OILnax on items that ordinary detergent cannot be applied (for example, leather goods, electrical goods)
- Are there any cautions in handling OILnax?
- "Cautions" are similar to any commercial detergent (for example, not to drink the liquid).
- How shall I store OILnax?
- Store OILnax in room temperature. Avoid high temperatures, high humidity and direct sunlight.
- What are the components of OILnax?
- Components include coconut oil fatty acid and others. We'd like to make a special mention that OILnax is a detergent that does not contain any hazardous material specified by the PRTR (Pollutant Release and Transfer Register). Therefore, components used are gentle to your skin.
- What is the difference between "OILnax for the kitchen" and "OILnax for general use"?
- "OILnax for the kitchen" contains components that are more suited for washing dishes and easily rinsed off compared to "OILnax for general use". It comes in easy-to-use diluted type and pump bottle type that are convenient for the users.
- What is the difference between "OILnax for the kitchen" and "OILnax for dishwashers"?
- "OILnax for the kitchen" has greater washing power as it lathers up and rinses off easily. These are added features. On the other hand, "OILnax for dishwashers" contains components that suppresses lathering to reduce the formation of too much foam inside the dishwasher due to high water pressure.
- How do you use OILnax to wash clothes?
- Place "OILnax for general use" in the detergent dispenser the same way as normal washing. For items, such as clothes and towels, with severe oil stains, fill the washing tub up with water (or hot water, if possible) and pre-mix OILnax well.
- How much OILnax do you use when wash clothes?
- For normal 30-35 litre washing machine for home use, add 30ml (fill up to 30 in the measuring cap for OILnax for general use 1L/2L bottle). Please adjust the amount depending on the severity of the oil stain.
- How much OILnax do you use in the dishwasher?
- For normal dishwasher for home use, add 20-40ml (fill up to 20-40 in the measuring cap for OILnax for dishwashers 620ml bottle).
- What is the dilution ratio when using "OILnax for general use" to wash dishes: "normal washing" and "soak & wash".
- In general, we recommend about 5-10 times dilution. (Dilution ratio depends on the severity of the oiliness of the dishes). When soaking first, OILnax gradually permeates into the oil stains. The following amount should be sufficient:
"Add 2.5ml (half a teaspoon) of OILnax to approximately 1 litre of water. That is about 2-3 teaspoons of OILnax into a washing basin".
In order for the washing components to distribute well, we recommend soaking the items after mixing OILnax well into water (or hot water, if possible).
- When soak & wash using "OILnax for general use", do I need to wash the dishes twice?
- Basically, the dishes are soaking in the washing water that contains oil from stains. When taking the dishes out of the soak, it is necessary to rinse the dirt off with tap water.
- OILnax seems to lather up less than the ordinary detergent. Is this the case?
- Lathering does not equate to effective oil stain removal. OILnax is a specialised detergent that cleans by finely breaking down oil.
