Disinfecting・Oil Stains 50 years of experience with the environment
Haneda Tokyo International Airport (Keihin Island, Ota-Ku, Tokyo)
Thank you for visiting the nax Online Shop.
I am Nakajima, the managing director of the company. I'd like to present to you why we continue to be the "water" and "oil" specialist.
There is a wish behind the name "nax"
I consulted a professional when naming the company to nax. I was told "The name is no good as 'nax' sounds like 'nakusu (to lose/be gone)', implying that the company is not prosperous". Contrary to this, I was already sensing the brilliance of what "to lose/be gone" can be.
Having completed their task, "water" and "oil" turn into "something dirty" that people don't like to deal with. The feature of our nax products is to lose this "something dirty" and make it be gone.
My view is that we are in the times where we can "no longer ignore what happens after" the "dirty dishes have been cleaned". I started to put my effort into developing detergent that would even discourage dirt from adhering to drain pipes. This would encourage biological decomposition (breaking material down by microorganisms in nature) and the impact to the environment is reduced as much as possible.
Just as cholesterol clogging the arteries can cause detrimental effect in the human body, same can be said to the drainage system. That is, in order to "improve and beautify the living environment", it is necessary to maintain the beauty or cleanliness in the "outer environment" as well as the "inner environment". Don't you agree that it is important for us humans to have inner beauty and not just beautify the looks on the outside?
Using nax products, dirt can "be gone" fast from your household to all the way to down stream in the river system. In other words, it is my wish for all of you to be "safe".
Exploring environmental pollution, beautification and improvement for half a century
Haneda Tokyo International Airport (Keihin Island, Ota-Ku, Tokyo)
50 years ago, during the period of high economic growth in Japan, Tokyo was at its worst in pollution level. The sky was covered by smog, Tama River was full of foam produced by detergent and pollutants washed down from up stream and accumulated down stream. The ocean at Haneda emitted foul odour and deformed fish with bowed spine were swimming in the oil sludge.
I was in primary school then. I grew up in Haneda, where the Tokyo International Airport is located, and observed the aeroplanes and ocean all the time. It took the marine environment around Tokyo half a century to recover from such contamination and recently the water is so clean that people can swim in it. Oil sludge was steadily removed from the shallows over many years to increasingly revive the marine environment. This was achieved due to the efforts made by the government and the public.
Previously, our office was located on reclaimed land, only 30 metres away from the ocean in Haneda. I observed how the water quality in Tokyo Bay gradually improved and this led to my sincere wish for the improvement in the environment.
The wish to develop products that cleanses and is gentle to the environment
Hiromachi Environmental Sanctuary (Kamakurayama, Kamakura-Shi, Kanagawa Prefecture)
It is said that "once contaminated, it takes over half a century to improve the environment".
Given this, I wished to develop products that could contribute to what each one of us can do to "beautify and improve our living environment" and "manage crisis". Hence, the nax series was born.
Purification facilities in Japan are one of the best in the world and associated laws and regulations are also established.
These are maintained well while the daily life is functioning without any problems. What if there is a serious disaster and the facilities ceased to function?
When the water supply is not available, there would be a demand for "detergent that can sterilise and be used without water" and "detergent that can be used with sea water".
nax series of products are detergent that can be used even in the emergency environment.
These products are used in normal, everyday life and lead to improving the drainage systems that the oil and dirt enter. Basically, it is "detergent that is friendly to you all the way to the environment downstream".
Product that can sterilise with only "water" that originates in the earth
Oil stains can be broken down using alkaline water solution. Therefore, historic records show that humans have been using alkaline substance, such as charcoal.
It is also proven that when the pH level becomes above 12, the solution not only removes dirt but will also have sterilising effect.
"Such product can cleanse and be gentle to the earth!".
In 2007, the first AQUAnax spray bottle was completed as the trial product.
AQUAnax products received positive reviews from factories related to food and other industries and the products are now available for general sales.

pH13.1 - outstanding effect in removing dirt and sterilisation
pH is a figure expressing the acidity or alkalinity of a solution. A figure closer to 0 indicates more acidity and a figure closer to 14 indicates more alkalinity.
AQUAnax was developed by increasing the water alkalinity to pH scale 13.1 which is the highest standard in the industry.
Having the pH at this level, the product has become more effective and powerful in sterilising and dirt removal. "AQUAnax" continues to receive much support from the customers.
Being particular about safety and effectiveness
We ship our products with utmost care for safety and effectiveness.
In particular, as the products are used daily in the general household, they can be used safely on items for adults as well as items for children and pets.
